The scholarship identifies “non-traditional women students, whose education was delayed or interrupted, with a vision to succeed despite any adversities life has presented…especially interested in recognizing women who give back to their communities and whose goals and desires for education align with their passions” (POWER Caucus website).

This year the POWER Caucus scholarship committee selected 20 hardworking women in the state of Indiana to receive this award, which was recognized with an honorary resolution on both the Indiana Senate and House floors. Slover attended the events in the capitol and received another separate certificate of achievement from her district State Representative, Peggy Mayfield, in addition to the POWER Caucus award.

Slover works full-time as the Marketing and Publicity Assistant at the Jacobs School of Music and is pursuing her MA in Arts Administration on a part-time basis.

Join us in congratulating Slover on this fantastic achievement!
